A project involving designing and painting murals throughout this new-build School, based on a literary theme:
Enter the Reception area to see the Library incorporating quirky figures reading books to stimulate and encourage the children’s interesting literature.
Wander down the Early Years and Years 1 & 2 corridors to see the murals inspiring the young students to have an awareness of their rich heritage of nursery rhymes and fairytales.
On to the Years 3 & 4 corridors, where the murals of Greek Myths & Legends, including Theseus & the Minotaur, Atlas, Medusa and Pandora, reflect the students interest in the subject, as well as a range of murals bases on literary figures, encouraging the children to explore the classics – The Jungle Book, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Wind in the Willows, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and many more.
The Years 5 & 6 corridor is painted with a range of murals depicting many of the works of Shakespeare, including Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, The Tempest as well as
The Globe Theatre.
